Lip Product Lust: NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses

When I was younger, lip gloss was the one product I always begged my mom to let me wear. I had a mini collection that my dad didn't know about (he didn't like me wearing any type of makeup so shhhh!) and would wear them all the time. I wasn't very particular back then, but over the years I've developed an annoyance for stickiness, so I tend to pay attention a bit more formulations nowadays.

Sugar Pie, Beige
These lip glosses have rave reviews online but I haven't tried them until recently. Both Ultas near me usually have their NYX section completely wiped out, so when I saw Target was selling the brand, I grabbed the two colors I had been lusting after: Sugar Pie and Beige.

Top: Beige
Bottom: Sugar Pie

The packaging of these is pretty standard. Plastic, clear tube with a doe-foot applicator. Since it is standard, there's really no pros or cons. Doe foot applicators are my favorite when it comes to glosses, so I find application to be hassle free.

My favorite detail, though, may be a bit hard to tell through a photo. The cap of the gloss has a bow design! As a bow lover, I pretty much squealed when I saw this. I'm not sure if this is fairly recent or not, as I had never heard anyone else comment on this, but it makes my heart swell.

The color of these are beautiful. Sugar Pie is a shimmery nude that pulls of natural without making your lips look dead. Beige...well it's not beige. It's a bright, true creamy pink that's stunning. The formulation of these is some of the best I've ever used, and it smells like artificial cherry. Love!

And now for swatches!

These lip glosses retail for roughly $5 and are available wherever NYX is sold (Ulta and select Target stores). If you're in the market for a new gloss, I recommend these! I will definitely pick a few more up the next time I swing by an Ulta store.

What's your favorite lip gloss?
xoxo
Alyssa
